JULY 2008

PRE-COLLEGE & CONTINUING STUDIES:

INTENSIVE
2- OR 4-WEEK FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM

&

3-WEEK PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT COURSE

TWO- OR FOUR-WEEK FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM:  This summer, middle and high school students ages 12-19, plus adult Continuing Studies students, have the opportunity to enrich their art education and skills in a college studio environment. Each course may be taken more than once to improve student skill levels.  Courses are challenging to both new and returning students.  See course descriptions and schedules below.

Students may attend either or both two-week sessions. A student may opt to attend for the entire day, 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday, taking two 3-hour classes per day, or choose to attend for a half-day, taking either the morning session (Drawing) or selecting Painting or Sculpture in the afternoon.

Especially handy for the working person, we are offering the same two 2-week sessions in the evenings from 6-9pm.  Students may choose between Drawing, Painting, or Sculpture each session.

THREE-WEEK PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT COURSE:  As a high school student (or adult) looking to enter a college art program, your portfolio is essential to the admissions process.  Lyme Academy College can help students build their portfolio for admissions.  This three-week, 3-hour per day class will allow you to develop both your body of work and your abilities.
