- Tape bound newsprint
pad, 18 x 24 inches, 50 sheets, smooth or slightly toothy surface.
- One additional
tape bound pad (no spiral bound pads, please) that is of medium size
(approx. 12 x 18 inches), 90lb weight or heavier, smooth or slight tooth
surface, off white, and pH neutral.
- 8 (or more) SHEETS of 23 x 29 inch
Strathmore Bristol Series 500 paper, Plate (smooth) finish, 2-ply (250
gram) or equivalent.
- OPTIONAL: 3 or more
individual sheets of Fabriano Ingres “701” (Tan)
20 x 27½ inches.

MATERIALS NEEDED: |
- This course’s text is The
Anatomy of Movement, by Blandine Calais-Germain (Eastland Press,
Inc., Seatle, 1993. www.eastlandpress.com.
ISBN: 0-939616-17-3). You
will be given regular reading assignments in this book.
Though a copy has been reserved for your use in the Library,
you may wish to purchase a volume of your own.
You will also be given assignments from another text,
The Physiology of the Joints, by I. A. Kapandji.
This three-volume set has also been reserved for your use in
the Library.
- Two additional standard anatomy texts, Human
Anatomy for Artists, by E.Goldfinger, and Artistic Anatomy, by P. Richer, are also reserved for your reference
in the library. No
assignments will be given in these books, but they offer clear
anatomical diagrams that you may wish to refer to.
- No artist’s materials are specified
for this course; you will, however, need to come to the lectures
prepared with a suitable notebook in which to record your written and
diagrammatic notes.
