An exhibition of selected figure watercolor drawings titled, David Dewey: Painting the Figure with my Students, opens in the College’s Chauncey Stillman Gallery on Friday, Nov. 30. Also opening the same evening is the Student Holiday Show and Art Sale in the Sill House Gallery at the College. An opening reception will be held in both galleries from 6 to 8 p.m. All are welcome and admission is free.
Fifteen members of the College studio faculty are exhibiting in a variety of media in the show. The chairs of the Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Illustration departments—respectively Susan Stephenson, Randy Melick, Brian Craig-Wankiiri and Richard Rose (interim)—will all be exhibiting along with their colleagues. Faculty members will be present at the opening reception to discuss their works.
An exhibition of artwork by students from all four years of study at Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts is now on display at the College’s Chauncey Stillman Gallery. The show runs through Saturday, Sept. 22, when it will be moved into the College’s Sill House Gallery. The public is invited to view the show at any time when the gallery is open.
