The exhibition was curated by Lyme Academy College Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing Susan Stephenson, who is also the current chair of the painting department. She comments, “The show represents a cross section of last year’s work and it’s exciting to see such diversity and exploration coming out of the classrooms. We knew the students were good, but it’s gratifying to see how inventive and brave they have become.”
The gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery will also be open on Friday, July 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of the Old Lyme Midsummer Festival, when galleries at the Lyme Art Association and the Florence Griswold Museum will also be open during the same time period.
