Residency - Connecticut Pastel Society

Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and the Connecticut Pastel Society (CPS) are pleased to co-sponsor two artists in residence workshops with master pastel artists Margaret Dyer on June 14-16 and Alain Picard on June 15-16, 2017. In addition, Lyme Academy College will host the CPS annual Purely Pastels exhibition from June 15 to July 21, 2017 and a lecture by Alain Picard on Thursday, June 15.

These events are all open to the public, but pre-registration to the workshops is required.

The Connecticut Pastel Society is a statewide fine arts organization with an expanding regional and national presence.  As one of the oldest artist associations in the US dedicated to the medium of pastel, our vision encompasses building awareness of pastel as a fine art medium.

Our membership includes national and internationally acclaimed artists, as well as artists at all points in their artistic journey.

The organization supports our artists’ achievements of excellence by sponsoring educational events and workshops throughout the year as well as the annual Members Show, juried Purely Pastel exhibition and the prestigious juried annual national Renaissance in Pastel exhibition.
