The Center for the Arts at LYME is proud to offer a series of summer residences that give adult students a rare opportunity to work with nationally and internationally renowned artists on a rural campus that is two hours from New York and Boston. Students can work en plein air and experience the bucolic lower Connecticut River Valley, known as the birthplace of American Impressionism. Workshop participants also have access to LYME’s state-of-the art studios, art store and art library. Students can choose to stay on campus in the fully furnished, air-conditioned Southwick Commons Townhomes complete with a full kitchen and living room; two bedrooms, each with adjacent full bathrooms; a washer and dryer; and a private garage. Accommodations are also available in nearby inns and summer rentals.
