PCLIFE
FIGURE DRAWING
Instructor: Jennifer Wheeler
Saturdays, Apr 14 - May 12, 10am - 1pm, $250
The human form is central to most well known classical art. In the spirit of artists from the Renaissance through the 19th century, students will study the figure through a series of poses, paying careful attention to composition, proportion, line quality, modeling of form, and basic anatomical landmarks. Using mediums from graphite to charcoal, students will learn to relate the human body to basic geometric forms, in order to clearly visualize position and proportion. We will start with quicker poses and end with longer poses allowing for more highly finished drawings.
