Lisa Nonken, Post-Baccalaureate Class of 2006 and MFA in Sculpture 2010 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, joined the faculty of the Siena Art Institute in Siena, Italy in September 2010. She is also developing programs for the institute and teaching drawing in their affiliated program, the Siena School of Liberal Arts. Her work is on display at the Robert Bills Contemporary Gallery in Chicago, and a temporary installation is being exhibited at the Dayton International Airport. Nonken has won a number of of fellowships, grants and prizes including the Blue Sky Project Artist Residency in 2009; a REMET “Shaping the Future” Project Grant, Vermont Studio Center Full-Fellowship Artist Residency, and Elizabeth Greenshields Grant, all in 2008; the Yaddo Sculpture Residency in 2006; and the Roger T.
