From Sculpting to Calligraphy, There’s a Class for Every Artist in the College’s Extensive Fall Continuing Education Program
Beginning in October, the College is offering eight non-credit courses and two non-credit workshops as part of the Continuing Education program. These classes offer the opportunity to work in a studio setting with skilled artists who can provide expert instruction at all levels.
Courses are offered in Figure Drawing, Drawing, Anatomical Drawing, Sculpture and Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking. Each class runs six weeks and costs $250.The Italic Calligraphy workshop is a two day class, costing $195.
These Continuing Education non-credit courses prepare students for the College’s credit courses in digital illustration, drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Community members return to Lyme Academy College each year to work with established artists in the regional community, to build portfolios for entrance into credit-carrying courses at the College, and to advance their skills in various mediums and techniques. The College’s Continuing Education classes are designed to augment the strengths of the core degree programs with special interest topics and professional development.
