Emily Bedard, ‘09, has been commissioned to restore a life-sized, white marble statue of a female, “Liberty,” for the historic Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT, a towering tribute to the Bridgeport men who served in the Civil War. The statue was vandalized in 1969. Bedard’s goal is to complete the six-foot figure, which will eventually be encased in fiberglass and polyester resin, by July 2010,
