The Woodshop Coordinator will supervise and assist students on the safe use of power tools in the College’s woodshop; work with campus safety to revise and uphold woodshop policies and procedures; maintain inventory of tools and supplies; clean and inspect equipment, and maintain a clean and safe working environment; will train students in use of basic woodshop tools and will give guidance to students on individual projects relating to their course work. This part time position will require regularly scheduled daytime and evening hours. Candidates should have experience working in a woodshop environment and experience in wood and/or cabinetry making. Attention to safety and running a clean and healthy woodshop environment is an absolute must. Experience working in an educational setting as well as knowledge of welding is a plus.
