PRIORITY DATES

Apply early, accurately, and honestly. Keep in mind that most application deadlines for private, local, or college scholarships are due somewhere between January and May. The only way to find out if you are eligible for financial assistance is to complete the various application processes. It is up to you to find out when the information is due, complete it accurately, and send it in on time.

ALL INFORMATION NEEDS TO BE COMPLETE for ADMITTANCE. THIS INCLUDES
-PORTFOLIO - 15 correctly labeled slides.
-Essay on your commitment to the Fine Arts.
-Previous transcripts and SAT/ACT scores if available
-Signed copies of Taxes & W-2's from previous year.

Outside Grants & Scholarships:
There is a general window of opportunity for Scholarships & Grants that is open from January to May of each year. Many foundations, or philanthropic organizations have application and filing deadlines during this period.
-This is the time to fill out applications, and to send in your materials on time. If you don’t find it and apply for it in this time period, you may have to wait until the next year to try again.
-There are exceptions to this rule, as there are some groups that have rolling deadlines and you can apply at any time during the year. These are generally few and far between.
-Start a year ahead and organize your findings so you can budget for the next academic year.
-Be sure to contact all the art colleges you are interested in as well, to determine what their deadlines are for financial aid.
