CRIME STATISTICS
|
In accordance with Connecticut and federal law, each institution
of higher education within the state is required to annually prepare
a Campus Crime Report, consistent with the FBI's Uniform Crime
Reporting system (UCR). This report reflects the crime statistics
on the property of the Academy for preceding 3 years.
The following is the statistical report of crime on the Academy
campus for the past 3 Academic years. The Crime Rate
is derived by dividing the number of incidents reported by
the total number of FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) students and
employees for the same period. |
3 Academic Years including: 2005-06 to 2007-08

| NOTE: As the FBI, in its own crime reports notes: "Caution
should be exercised in making any inter-campus comparisons or ranking
schools, as university/college crime statistics are affected by
a variety of factors. These include: demographic characteristics
of the surrounding community, ratio of male to female students,
number of on-campus residents, accessibility of outside visitors,
size of enrollment, etc." |
