Dora Atwater Millikin will be exhibiting at the Walker-Cunningham Fine Art Gallery, 162 Newbury Street in Boston from September 10 through October 10, 2009. Opening reception is September 10th, 7:30 pm.

Works by artists Hannah Baldwin of Stony Creek, Paula Billups of Middletown, Patricia Collins of Madison, Ken Dorros of Glastonbury, Hollis Dunlap of New London, Kim Ruggiero of Madison, Robert Schweizer of Avon, Adrian Waggoner of New London and Jerry Weiss of Chester will be featured at a Stony Creek Gallery exhibition called Paintings in the Academy Tradition. The exhibition will run August 14th through August 23rd with an opening reception scheduled for Friday, August 14th from 5:30pm-8pm. The gallery is located at 152 Thimble Islands Road, Stony Creek / Branford, CT and is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11am - 5pm.

ellen gaube will be exhibiting with three other botanical artists in Nature Observed at Hartford Fine Art & Framing. The show will run from August 3rd to August 31st, 2009 with an opening reception scheduled for Saturday, August 1st from 1 to 3pm. The gallery is located at 80 Pitkin Street, East Hartford, CT.

Christine shank, jake saunders, john o'donnell and brad guarino will be featured in an exhibition titled Serial Fiction at Golden Street Gallery. The exhibition will run from August 8th to September 7th, 2009 with an opening reception scheduled for Saturday August 8th from 6 to 9pm. Kimberly Ruggiero will have several paintings on display in a shoreline landscape show at Susan Powell Fine Art. The show will be on display through August 9, 2009. The gallery is located at 679 Boston Post Rd in Madison, CT and is open Wednesday through Friday 11am to 5pm, Saturday 12pm to 6pm, Sunday 12pm to 3pm, and anytime by appointment.

At the National Sculpture Society's 76th Annual Exhibition held recently in New York City, alumnus Jeremy Davis was awarded the Margaret Hexter Prize for his piece, Soft Serve. The show subsequently traveled to Brookgreen Gardens, S.C. Jeremy was also selected as one of three finalists in the Art vs. Design Exhibition held by artistswanted.org at the New Museum in SoHo, NYC. He exhibited three sculptures, Download, Soft-Serve and Mitosis in the show. More than 400 people attended a June 24, 2009 opening at the New Museum.

ALETA GUDELSKI has a solo exhibition “REFLECTIONS”, including oil and mixed media paintings at The Mill House Gallery and Connecticut River Artisans, located at 5 West Main Street, Chester, CT. The exhibition will take place from July 1 - 31, 2009, with an artist reception on Saturday, July 11th from 2 - 5pm. The gallery can be reached by traveling on Route 9, Exit 6 - 148 East and 1.5 miles on the right side. Gallery hours are 12 noon - 6pm, everyday. SHEILA BARBONE has an upcoming exhibition "Cate Charles Gallery presents: Sheila Barbone, City, Sea and Town." opening June 27, 2009. 5 - 8 pm.The exhibition includes oil paintings of New York city streets, Stonington and Mystic CT and also off shore sailing and Sandy Point Stonington. The show goes until July 20. Cate Charles Gallery is located at 147 Water St. Stonington CT.

GAVIN T. GARDNER'S small bronze “Kalos Kai Agathos” is on exhibit at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, in Hagerstown, MD until August. The sculpture also received an award from the Museum.
