Alumni Giving

Alumni support the College in a variety of important ways. Through public acknowledgement of their alma mater at exhibitions and juried competitions, alumni are the College’s most visible and influential ambassadors.

Alumni also serve the College as an important resource for incoming students. No one is better qualified to answer a prospective student’s questions than one of our alumni. The Alumni and Admissions Office are happy to put prospective students in touch with alumni from the inquiring student’s geographic area. Alumni who are interested in serving as admissions representatives and talking with prospective students should contact Ann de Selding, Assistant Director of Alumni Services at 860-434-3571, ext. 117 or adeselding@lymeacademy.edu.

Alumni also play an important role in supporting the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts through their financial and in-kind contributions. Many alumni are leading contributors to the College supporting the Alumni Association, the Annual Appeal and the development of scholarships. Alumni contribute art work for sale at fundraising auctions and also volunteer time to promote events and opportunities on campus. They may also serve as mentors for current students enrolled in the BFA program.
